Moon Phase Puzzle

Study and delight in all 8 of the moon's lunar phases as seen from Earth with our wooden Moon Phase puzzle! Fun for children and adults alike, this tactile educational toy is educational in a variety of ways. Little ones can experiment with puzzle pieces and shapes, while older children and adults can study the rotation of the moon in orbit and discuss the various shadows and fractions of the moon that appear in the night sky with this modern board as an excellent reference.

Engraved and cut from a beautiful smooth plywood, our moon puzzle features modern typography and all eight phases of the moon cycle:

• New Moon (engraved shadow only; no cutout piece)
• Waxing Crescent
• First Quarter
• Waxing Gibbous
• Full Moon
• Waning Gibbous
• Last Quarter
• Waning Crescent

Puzzle board measures 16" x 10" and pieces vary in width (full moon puzzle piece measures 3.2" across).

As an added challenge, children can line up and name the moon phases using just the cutout pieces alone, without the labels of the puzzle board. Endless options await to study space, lunar phases, orbits, the shadows seen on the moon, and more!

Each puzzle is lovingly designed and crafted by hand in our Ohio studio from locally sourced wood. Sealed with food-grade mineral oil and safe for children of all ages to enjoy.
