Unassembled Wooden Train Set - STEM DIY Building Project

This is a quality build-it-yourself wooden train kit intended for children 3+ years of age. This STEM building project includes an engine, coal car, tanker car and caboose. Allow your child the satisfaction of building this high-quality train set with parental assistance. The assembly process promotes confidence and fulfillment by allowing the child to learn what it means to assist in building something.

Kit includes 100 solid wood parts, 16 nylon washers, glue, sandpaper and a step-by-step instruction manual with QR codes for animation of each step. Your creativity will shine with your own choice of finish. Products for finish (paint, stain, polyurethane, etc.) are not included. Finished train overall dimensions are approximately 35 1/4" long x 5 3/16" wide x 7 7/8" high. Safety glasses, a file and a clamp (or a weighted item to help hold in place while glue sets) are required to complete the kit.

This wooden train kit delivers a great opportunity for a child to bond with a special parent, grandparent, or guardian in their life. Since the kits are intended for early grade school children, adult assistance is required to build. But that is exactly the point!

We encourage the family to put down their phones and spend a few evenings to build something that will last a lifetime!  The kits are considered heirloom quality and could be passed on down for multiple generations.

Return policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.  

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. SALE items are not typically eligible for return.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a $5.95 flat rate return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

Shipping policy

We charge a flat rate of $5.95 for shipping in the Continental United States on all our Lindquist Lane products.  Any products being shipped separately from one of our fulfillment partners will be calculated at checkout.  

At this time, we are unable to ship to those outside of the Continental U.S.  Shipping times vary, but pease email Hello@LindquistLane.com at any time if you'd like an update on your order's processing timeframe.
